Board meetings are held each month. Parents are welcome to attend, except when personnel matters are under discussion.

All parents are required, as part of their Co-op responsibility, to serve on one of the school's standing committees. This involves approximately three hours a month, or the equivalent, over the course of the school year.

A list of current officers, and membership of the various committees, is published in the Parent Directory and is given to all registered families.

Montessori Directresses:

KHMC's highly trained and professional teaching staff is unmatched in their commitment to quality Montessori education. We have four certified Montessori teachers (Directresses) who received their accreditation either through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or the American Montessori Society (AMS). Two out of our four directresses have been with the school for more than 25 years! Within each Montessori classroom, each directress has a dedicated assistant who works along with the directress to provide individual attention to each student.

Children in the full-day program and those utilizing the before and after school programs benefit from exposure to our loving and professional extended care staff. All employees of KHMC receive training in first aid, recognizing and reporting communicable diseases, and recognizing and reporting child abuse. Staff are trained, upon hiring, in hand washing and disinfecting procedures.
